Default Name the Xunlai Agents, maybe reskin some of them

Throughout all of guild wars, the NPC's of a certian type have names and skins releated to where they are found. No two merchants have the same name, and their skins are approiate for the area they are (humans in human lands, ghosts in the desert and fire islands, dwarfs in shiverpeaks, a forgotten in Glint's lair).

However, the Xunlai Agents all look identical and have the name:
Xunlai Agent [Storage]

They need their own names, something like "{name} [Storage]" would be enough for naming.

It doesn't feel right that when you get to somewhere that humans rarly go to (crystal desert, fire islands, especially glints lair) you find that the Xunlai orginasition has not only already got someone there, but that someone appears to be a clone of every other agent they have.

I'd suggest the following skin setups for them:
Human towns (including all Canthan towns)- Keep them in about the same, maybe have some male agents. Being in uniform isn't a problem.
Dwarf towns (mainly south shiverpeaks, some northen shiverpeak towns) - Dwarfs (in the uniform would be best, but not required).
Fire islands - Ghosts of the human agents (just because your dead doesn't mean you have to stop working if you are still able to work, it just means less hazard pay for you).
Crystal desert - More ghosts, maybe some forgotten agents. Definatly have a forgetten agent working in glint's lair, since the other NPC's are forgotten.

And before you ask if its possible, remember that during last years halloween the Xunlai agents in Lions Arch were given a tree skin for the duration. So it is possible with the guild wars engine.

Maybe it'll have something to do with the last chapter. Guild Wars Clone Wars: Attack of the Xunlai Agents.

It's not really a bad idea..but I just don't see it being all that useful. I don't really look at the storage people when accessing mine..maybe thats just me.

Something like this falls into a category of changes which aren't really important, but would still *slightly* improve gameplay. And there are many, many changes in this category..

Heh, I think even the game manual says something roughly like "To access storage, look for the Xunlai Agents. They're not named, so anyone with [Storage] will bring up your vault" bla bla.

</worst paraphrase in the whole world>

I'd agree with you here. Its just that this has been bugging me for a few months so I had to say something about it.

Kinda reminds me of the Cannon guys in Secret of Mana. At least the devs even poked fun at it at one point, when one of their wives said "My husband's brothers ALL look the same!"

They all look the same because they are all from the same place, cantha. Xunlai Agents are all from the same guild, from the same area, which is why they look the same. They cannot be tyrian, the Xunlai guild would not accept tyrian members.

It is just one being, not many, with the power to be in all places at once, like a god. Xunlai is her name.

Whatever. Xunlai is the first organization to perfect cloning. That's why they are all the same.

Naming the Xunlai agents wouldn't be that great, but it would be a nice little touch. I'd like to see some more quests involving them too. I mean, Cantha is where they come from. We're in Cantha... I want to know more about em!
